在鲜有佳作问世的当代西部片中,本剧自然也难成经典,但其对传统西部片的追忆与致敬,使其具有了一定的意义.月满荒原作为电视迷你剧,成色上自然无法与电影相媲美,但剧中所蕴涵的"日落狂沙,烈马硬汉"的久违灵魂,却是当今许多挂羊头卖狗肉的电影所缺失的。
说是6小时，但我看的只有4个半小时， 不完整，服了阉割党。情节虽然表面上看起来波澜不惊，但很有力，非常紧凑。一直觉得世界上最能体现男人的魅力的莫属南北战争前后一段时间美国西部的牛仔，看完后又加深了这一观点的认同。外型很man内心很可爱的一群牛仔。
